Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been away on holiday with my husband who desperately needed one. I think he has only taken one week off in 6 years. He works as a crane operator and is dealt some crazy hours. Anyhow, we finally took some honeymoon time (two years after wedding...lol) We booked some time on one of the smaller Northern Gulf Islands called Hornby Island. The island is 15 min drive from one coast to the other and is very beautiful. Here's the thing....within 2 hours of arriving there, we had a woman come on to the property (she waters the garden), and she informed us that she had just come from the funeral of a 20 year old girl who had just died from acute pancreatitis. My heart fell into my feet. I was having a good week health and pain wise, and had figured that because it was our honeymoon and so special to have a holiday, that I would let loose a little. I changed my mind. I have had some pretty bad attacks. Little note to myself -NO slipping into denial!! We lucked out on getting in that weekend. Now I ask the question, " Did God make sure that I arrived that weekend, that day, and in time for the woman that waters the garden to come and tell me about that girl? " and if so.... why? Thank you for a venue to share. Joia
