Guest guest
Jerry, Gail, and Kimber, Thanks so much for the prayers and e-mails. They mean a lot to me. I decided to stay home today but I am going to try to wade through some of my work e-mail if I'm up to it later. For the most part, I am able to thank God that things aren't worse than what they are, that I have very supportive family and friends, that I have wonderful health insurance, that I have very understanding bosses and co-workers, and so on. I do truly feel blessed. Yesterday they took my blood in the infusion therapy lab because the regular lab won't take it from the picc line. In the infusion therapy lab I saw numerous people who very obviously had cancer and were there for chemo. Boy, that made me say a prayer of thanks to God. I was telling my mom how thankful I was that I am not battling cancer and how this could be so much worse. She said, " but you are so young to have all these health problems. " I said, " Mom, there were several people in there younger than me (i'm 41). Cancer does not have an age limit. " Anyway, even though I am frustrated, I am through with my pity party. I'll just take it one day at a time and do what I can do. Thanks for all the prayers, support, and understanding. You guys are the greatest!
