Guest guest
Hello- This is my first post. I was diagnosed with cea approximately 3 years ago. It has gotten progressively worse, despite trying every conceivable option my doc has offered. This is much more than a cosmetic issue for me, as I'm sure most of you are aware. However, my doc seems to think so. I experience unbearable burning sensations when I flush. My face feels tight and dry most of the time. Even the slightest amount of stress registers loud and clear on my face. The effect on me is really disabling. I am on anti-depressants because of this and it is really taking a major toll on my self esteem. It seems my triggers are backing me into a corner. I gave up coffee a long time ago and many foods trigger a flush, also alcohol. It has gotten to the point that my face constantly bothers me no matter what I do. I have permananet redness on my forehead and cheeks and it's getting more noticable every year. I need help desperately. I've read so much about Photoderm and Photofacial. It seems so promising but I'm from New England. I can't beleive this treatment is not available anywhere in New England, but it isn't (I've checked). NOTHING helps. I tried clonodine and it made me feel like a zombie and did NOTHING for the flushing like it's supposed to. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I HAVE to find an expert's expert on this in New England, preferably in Boston. My whole life is on hold until I find some answers and relief! Thanks for your help! G.
