Hi. My name is Kim from Fla. This is my first post. I have been

researching MGB since 9/99 and just started working on the process.

My insurance approved the procedure by Dr.Rutledge in 1 weeks time.

However I am stuck on finding a PCP willing to support the surgery.

My family Dr. doesn't believe in any obesity surgery. I had an

appointment with my gyn Dr. and he is going to write my support

letter and is willing to follow me after the surgery but I heard from

Dr. R. today that it has to be a medical Dr. and not my GYN Dr. I

have another appointment with my family Dr. to plead my case again

and see if she will change her mind. I have been reading the E-mails

and there has been so much information I have gained. Thanks to

everyone for being so willing to share. I am a RN that works in a

PACU-Recovery room and recover patients all day long waking up from

surgery. Our hospital doesn't perform gastric bypasses of any kind so

I am getting negative feedback from the surgeons and the

anesthesiologists I work with. Also I have only 3 responses from my

contacts. Anyone else willing to be my contact let me know. It would

be appreciated. Any one in Fla in the ville area let me know.
