We are on day 19 of SCD. My daughter is very yeasty. Bumps on her

bum. Her belly has expanded in the last couple of days and she is

gassy. She also complains that she is very itchy everwhere (back,

tummy, arms, legs). And her face is looking bumpy again (this had

went away after starting enzymes in November). She has been eating

well on the diet and has gained 2 pounds. She has been consuming a

lot of honey and we backed off that as of yesterday afternoon. But

I'm very hestitant to limit fruit too much as she is very hungry and

we need a lot of snacks. She also eats the meats well and her

veggies. Fruit is her primary snack, although we made baked carrot

chips yesterday and the pecan waffles the past two days - she seems

to tolerate the half egg okay (yeah! - thanks Carol for the recipes!)

as previously her intolerances were evident within the next BM.

We have started what appears to be a legal brand of probiotics as she

hasn't tolerated dairy in the past. Is this die off and the yeast is

on the way out, or are we feeding the yeast? I re-read what Elaine

said in BTVC, but unsure if this yeastyness is dieing or reviving.

Unfortunately she had a bout of the stomach flu right before we

started the diet, so I'm sure she lost a lot of the good guys before

we started SCD.

So, to recap:

1. Do I need to cut back on the fruit?

2. Is this die off or a yeast problem?

Thank you in advance.
