Guest guest Posted April 20, 2002 Report Share Posted April 20, 2002 Hi Asta, My symptoms did get work in the first week and a half with purple emu... and around the 2nd and 3rd weeks -- my skin began to dramatically improve. By the 4th and 5th weeks, my skin was remarkably changed. The only thing that I might suggest is that you ensure that you aren't using too much of the redness & blemish control creme. It only takes a very little bit. Also, if you aren't already, drink water. Water helps your skintone and moisture levels -- my skin pays the price when I don't keep up with my water intake. I personally drink 1/2 my body weight in ounces a day. So for example, if you weigh 150 lbs - you would drink 75 ounces of water a day. I read a book called " Your Body's Many Cries for Water " and it has changed my entire relationship with drinking water. It's made a big difference in my overall health. I´ve used them now for 6 days and until yesterday everything seemed to be fine but then I started to itch and now my checks are blotchy red and itching. I have never had these symptoms with my rosacea. they told me that I would possibly get worse the first days, but I think this is strange. I also received a cleansing bar for sensitive skin from Sy, which I started to use at the same time. This morning I skipped everything and just put on some jojoba oil , but I´m still itching..... Since you started using all three at the same time, it's hard to tell which one it might be. If it were me I would stop all three for right now and just rinse and pat on the oil until your skin calms down quite a bit. Have you used jojoba in the past successfully. It causes my face to get red and blotchy... I've never used the purple emu products, but any of the products I used from Sy caused a very bad reaction unfortunately. Anything " soap-like " in general, even supposedly " extra-mild, gentle or whatever " has always been too harsh and drying on my face. I would be red and blotchy within a few days too.
