When I react to something it is usually fairly immediate (stinging, burning) I think reactions that are either immediate or delayed are both considered typical for rosacea and sensitive skin. I'm sorry about your reaction in the salon. It sounds pretty bad; worse than I have ever experienced. Even before rosacea, I could not tolerate all the junk in the air of hair salons and or use any kind of hair spray. Hope your face recovers soon, carrie
Guest guest
I have had instant reactions to a lot of skincare products, though they are usually just slight itching, easily rectified if I cleanse my face again. The most extreme reaction I experienced was about 3 weeks ago, to a sample of Lancome Hydra Zen moisturiser. It felt OK for about 5 minutes, then I started to feel slight irritation. I cleansed my face, but that wasn't sufficient, as within an hour my face had broken out in red welts. It took about 1 1/2 weeks to clear up, definitely my worst reaction in a long time. I'm just glad it was a free sample. I don't usually get reactions to hair products, but one exception is Dove shampoo and moisturiser. I had to throw it out. I think hairspray can be problematic.
