Guest guest
Hi, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while,I have been reading e-mails though just not feeling well these days. My dog has cancer, and is on steroids, he is doing ok now but its not a cure. He has 2 tumors in his chest, as long as he is able to eat and not having trouble breathing I am going to continue the steroids, and see what happens when. Now about my surgery, I had a laparotomy for endometriosis and adhesions, they also performed a cystoscopy. The endo was not that extensive, I did have some on my R ovary and it was lasered. However, the cystoscopy showed the real answer to my problems/pain. I have significant interstitial cystitis. It is an inflammation of the bladder and while there are treatments, there is no cure. I go back to the doctor next week to discuss options. I have been having alot of pain after the surgery, although not pancreas type. I have pain meds but they are not touching it. If I don't get any relief by in the morning I am going to call- although not sure what they can do over the phone. I'm tired so I'll write more later. If anyone else has this I would appreciate any info. e-mail me privately if you wish. -SC

Dear , I am so sorry to hear about Rebel and hope the steriods work. My kitty " Tiger " (I know - what a clever name) has trouble eating. They say some pets just have a sensitive stomach, so I spend alot of time cleaning up after her. Now I am trying feeding her a little bit at a time. Kind of a hassle, but then you probably understand. My husband thinks I'm crazy Very glad to hear your endometriosis was not extensive. I think I told you that they had to open me up and remove my uterus because mine was so bad. The doctor had to take out several of the other organs to check them out, so I was so sore for quite awhile after that surgery (and I went home to a 4-month-old - we adopted). Hard to believe that was twenty years ago. I have heard that many people have good luck with the laser surgery so good luck in that area. I have never researched significant interstitial cystitis, but will try to find something out when I get to work (DSL is so much faster than good old aol). In the meantime you take care, Gail West * Many People, Many Faces, One Voice Indiana State Representative Pacreatitis Association International www.pancassociation.com

Guest guest
, I glad that your surgery is over and they found out what is causing all your pain. Now for them to come up with the right treatment will truly be a blessing. About your doggy, I so sorry to hear that Rebel is having problems. I remember with our last dog, we had to put him on steroids and he doubled his weight in 9 months time and drank water almost constantly, as a side effect of the medicines, so make sure rebel has plenty of water. I just wanted to let you know that both you and Rebel are in my Prayers. I'm a real dog lover and know how much they and all of our pets can mean to us.
