Guest guest
Listmates: I just discovered something that I think is a great find, but just wanted to make sure y'all agree it's OK. The Whole Foods store near me sells unopened turkey luncheon meat by Applegate Farms. The listed ingredients are turkey & water & walt. It's smoked turkey, so there are so spices or anything like that. It's in the originally wrapper and looks like a ham. I just bought the whole thing instead of having them slice it, for fear that the slicer would contaminate the meat. I've been cutting it into slightly thick slices and cutting the thick slices into turkey sticks (about size & shape of cheese sticks for kids). They're fabulous for salads or just to pick up and eat. Very convenient for eating out, school lunches, etc. Any reason why this might be an issue? Thanks, Angie
