Hi,

I honestly do not know much about Vit C. toxicity, I just know my son's

experience with it. I would assume it does not affect all kids, this way, as I

know lots of parents on this & other lists, get OATS tests done at GPL and I am

sure they would question high ascorbic levels if it was common.

Owens, a researcher and a contributer to the DAN think tank, has made

several posts concerning Vit C & oxalates and their role in ASD, on

Trying_Low_Oxalates , you may want to check that out. I did post

my son's results there once, but got no response, so I do not know if she

answers individual posts.

It may be worth a trial of taking vit c.out, and observe if there is any

improvement after a week or so. Also a doctor did tell me that supplemented

vit c should be gradually reduced, to avoid withdrawl symptoms.

Subject: vit C

i HAVE BEEN GIVING MY DAUGHTER HIGH AMOUNTS OF VIT C FOR THE LAST 10

DAYS TO COUNTERACT CONSTIPATION. hAVING READ THE RECENT INFO ABOUT THE

VIT, AND NOTICING REGRESSION IN MY DAUGHTERS EYE CONTACT,I'M CONCERNED

FOR HER. I INITIALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS DUE TO RECENTLY STARTING THE

DIET, 2 WEEKS. aM I RIGHT IN THINKING THE REGRESSION COULD BE DUE TO

VIT C EXCESS?
