Guest guest
Wanted to let anybody know that if they have Dermatitis Herpetiformis (DH) that canola oil has a cross reaction in the body of those who have this condition and will cause this rash/blisters to go miserably out of control. Just a word of warning...since the snack below contains canola oil. Antoinette Day 20 entire family (Celiac Disease, Malabsorption Syndrome, DH, ASD, ADHD, ADD and mental illness) pre-packaged snack Hello Everyone. First, let me say that I know it's best to make all homemade foods and snacks - which I do all the time - but I have found something that works for my son. He's 21 months old and I've given him several bags worth of this and he's been just fine. I have not written to the company, if anyone wants to do that, please feel free. the snack is called Crispy Delite. Bags come in apple, apple cinnamon and there are a few veggie bags I've seen but they contain canola oil, which I know is up to the individual SCD follower as to whether or not they can tolerate it. Label says its 100% natural. The apple is a dried, and very crispy, tasty fruit. The label on the Fuji Cinnamon apple bag says " fuji apples, cinnamon " . The Fuji apple bag just says " fuji apples " . My son needs crunchy things for his sensory integration issues and there are only so many pork rinds I am willing to give him. He likes these very much and they are available in health food stores (I live in Manhattan). I've added them as a topping to some of his foods and I've also used them as a sort of chip to hold chicken/veges.
