Guest guest
GYN is a medical Dr whether or not they are an MD or DO. Dr R wants a PCP to follow you which is your PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN. This DR sees you for everything, then recomends you see specialists such as GYN'S or Hematologists, Oncologists, Dermatologist..on an on and on. Specialists are just that, they specialize in the one area they are in. Your PCP tends to pick up on problems in all areas of your body then would send you to the appro. Specialists. Hope this helps.
