Guest guest
Debs, I have read this on line also, pick and choose your sites carefully. All sights are not created equally. You will find mny people here who have live long live after ther CP diagnosis. I to was terrified when I fisrt read this material as Cassie my 12 year old Has CP. When I discussed this with both her GI's 1 in Portland and the other in Boston both said alot depends on the indiviual and how long the condition wnet on before appropraite therspies and life style changes were made. The other thing they say was to try and focus on getting well, not how soon amy I going to die. You have enough anxiaety and depression with this illness wiht out adding that on. The other tthing I haev found is if we are busy focusing on the end we are not out there searching for some kind of hope and relief for her. I don't know if this helps. Also the other thing that DR. does not mention is that the disease progresses differently in every perosn and the many advances that have developed regarding CP..
