Mineral Makeup Without Mica

Hi Valarie--I remembered this message from a while back. I have been

using Bare Escentuals makeup for a few weeks now, with very good

cosmetic results--i.e., no redness, good coverage. However for about

the last week, my face has begun to itch like crazy and I think it

has to be from the mica. The color I've been primarily using lists

mica as the very first ingredient.

In researching this issue, I've learned that mica is a very common

irritant and is highly comedogenic. Kind of makes me wonder why all

the mineral makeup people claim there is no irritation potential for

their products if almost all of them contain some mica.

They claim to be the only mineral makeup that does not contain mica.

I have ordered a couple colors and expect to receive them by the end

of the week. I hate to not be able to use minerals after being

spoiled by their coverage and longevity.

Also, FYI, according to what I've read, LaBellaDonna does contain

mica.
