I'm new here and have mild cea-redness on cheeks and nose, no burning,

itching, pustules or flakiness. I was prescribed Metrolotion last week by my

dermatologist. Do these lotions actually help? After reading as much as I can

about cea, it seems that they don't actually help too many people. I'm

really scared that this redness, which I can live with I suppose, will progress

into something much worse. I'm using Cetaphyl bar soap and sunscreen in

addition to the medicine. If Metrolotion doesn't help, where do I go from

there? Different creams? I'm going to try to improve my diet-I eat too many

sweets and dairy products. I spend a lot of time outdoors with my dog and

horse, and even now my skin is getting red from the weather, even though I'm

wearing sunscreen.Has anyone halted progression or reversed cea successfully

when diagnosed at the mild stage? Help!

they're rumored to work. notirate supposedly works better due to

less irritating ingredients. if this doesn't work, probably won't,

then you go to antibiotics -- and depending on how badly you want to

get better, more expensive antibiotics (Minocin or Zithromax), and

then there's always low dose accutane. Sulfoxyl lotion or Sulfacet-R

(unmixedd) or both are really worth a try, also.
