Guest guest
Dear all, I am finalizing a questionnaire with items addressing pests in farmworker homes. We are asking about animal as well as insect pests. We are having trouble with the Spanish for one animal pest -- chipmunk. Farmworkers whom we have spoken with either are not familiar with chipmunks or use the work "ardilla", which is also used for squirrel. One individual suggested we use "ardilla rayada", striped squirrel. Does anyone have a suggestion for common a Mexican Spanish term for chipmunk? Thank you for your help. Tom Arcury A.
