You can try Fitday.com to see if you have enough legal carbs.

or the " Caloric calculator " : go to

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/links for the link.

What foods did he eat prior to starting the diet? That may help us

to come up with relevant suggestions.

Hi Shar,

We are only on day 18.....but also have two kids that have food

aversions.....have you had allergy testing done yet....some of my son's worse

aversions where due to allergies!!!!!!!....and to think that we were trying to

make him eat it! Both kids use to " gag " too..... on some of those foods...once

they learned that we where " no longer poisoning them " they started eating more

foods again (you see he has gluten allergy/Celiac Disease.....so we where

feeding them " poison " all the time before realizing this......gluten is in

everything....although not in the SCDIET. Plus we had a few other surprise

allergies that explained this strange aversion to foods!

Hi Shar,

Is your child consuming other legal carbs? Any other food?

If you have been on the intro for at least 3 days you can start

adding in other foods. Since you are battling constipation please

read the two important links at

http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/

Go to the " Knowledge Base " and then to

1. " Constipation " and

2. " Constipation continued "

As for how much *diluted* legal juice (half juice/half water) and

homemade jello - it depends on the age weight of your child if they

are eating other things etc. There is no straight one size fits all

answer. You should try to balance the food with other legal options

that you are ready to digest and other types of food, proteins etc.

You can use the " Caloric Intake Kids Calculator " at

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/links to determine

how many legal carbs are needed /day
