Guest guest
Hi All - Just to point/counter-point Bill's experience... I love the Pel Natural's Super Rich Moisturizer. ( http://www.pelnaturals.com/store/bbutter.html ) In fact, I just ordered another large jar of it. It does feel thick, like Bill described, but for me, it felt incredibly moisturizing and I found that my skin has become softer, thicker (my rosacea often makes my skin feel papery thin) and yet once it is absorbed - I feel like my skin could breathe. I haven't had any problems with it causing irritation... breakouts... etc. The moisture lasts a long time too. I've found it protects my face from wind, chapping and extreme temperatures. I put it on along with my sunscreen (Ti-Silc Sheer) everyday. My flares due to weather/climate conditions have dropped down to almost nothing. I don't have to put it on again and again... which I like. The less I have to touch and rub things into my facial skin - the better I seem to do. I'm not sure if I don't understand the official or technical term for " organic " and I may need to be educated (I'm no expert by a long shot)... but the Super Rich Moisturizer ingredients appear to be organic and not laden with excessive stuff. The ingredients are: Purified water, Dromaius Oil, Virgin Olive Oil, Shea Olein, Hemp Seed Oil, Camelina Oil, Aloe Vera, Camomile, Ginkgo Biloba, and Vitamins C and E, Vanilla Flower. For those of you curious about checking out Bill's recommendation... I found their website: http://www.avalonnaturalproducts.com/ The Ultimate Moisture Cream ingredients are: Certified Organic Lavender Floral Water (lavandula officinalis), Certified Organic Plant Oils of Safflower Oil (carthamus tinctorius), Sunflower (helianthus annuus), Borage (borago officinalis), Flax Seed (linum usitatissimum), And Jojoba (simmondsia chinensis), Shea Butter (butyrospermum parkii), Certified Organic Aloe Barbadensis, Glyceryl Stearate, Vegetable Glycerin, Mango Butter (mangifera indica), Sorbitan Stearate, Sorbitol, Vegetable Squalane, Organic Algae Extract, NaPCA, Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), Retinyl Palmitate (vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E), Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C), Beta Carotene, Methyl/Propylparaben, Pure Essential Oils I have used this brand's CoQ10 serum... I liked it a lot - but found that I react to lavendar (of all things). I tried the moisture cream too... but reacted to the lavendar again and I don't do well with products that use Retinyl Palmitate or glycerin. So I haven't been able to use many of their other products. When I tried these products, I was able to find them at Henry's (in Southern California)... I also have seen them at Whole Foods and online you can find them at their site and Drugstore.com. Good luck everyone -- it's always trial and error for all of us. I'm really glad Bill found a product that works for him. That is always a god-send. For those of you that haven't found something to work yet - Don't give up! After 2+ years of trying so many many things... I've come a long way. I have reduced my symptoms by around 90%. I'm always working towards that last 10% though. I've heard some of there products work for some, and not for others. In my personal case, very dry flaky skin, rosey cheeks, this product was too thick, did not spread well, and cloged pores. Another product I've been using thats worked much better for ME, is..... " Avalon Organic Botanicals, Ultimate Moisture Cream " (yes it's a looong name)(the " ultimate " is for sensitive skin, the regular one has worked for me also) I get mine at the gocery store's healthy product section (wegmans has it in NY state) I believe it's water based (as oposed to oil based) it spreads great, no clogging of pores, all organic natural ingredients. If anyones looking, check into it. adios. (aka Bill)
