There has been a study, published in magazines as well as found on

the web, that has uncovered a component of St. 's Wort that

speeds up an enzyme in the liver. THIS ENZYME BREAKS DOWN CERTAIN

MEDICATIONS! This can drastically reduce the effectiveness of certain

medications, such as Aids drugs, heart disease medication, transplant

rejection medication, and BIRTH CONTROL PILLS!! Ladies, take note

that several women taking St. 's Wort became pregnant, despite

being " on the pill. " Who knows yet what acne or cea medication

St. 's Wort might also effect.

A few years back I took St. 's Wort when my Mom was visiting me.

I can't remember if my face improved; however, I did not become

pregnant. Of course, for years my birth control method has been

cea, which has proven to be such a reliable deterrent to

pregnancy that I'm surprised Planned Parenthood isn't inundating high

schoolers with niacin spiked Snapple and complementary on-campus

steam baths.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm not computer savvy enough to

provide a link to any specific article, but they're out there if you

look.

Ciao!
