Guest guest
Hi Anne, Since I was the 'hootchie mamma " of the clinic of May 30th (my mother hated my little red outfit, said it was 'too much') of course I asked Dr. R. all about the birth control issue. Anything that uses hormones is OUT, because post MGB your hormones are all wacky anyway, and too much estrogen can make you feel really crappy. Barrier methods are what you need to use, meaning the diaphragm or a condom. Too bad they still don't make the sponge (remember that Seinfeld episode???) LOL. I am not sure if foams and jellies are hormonal, but I do know they have limited efficiency, so if you are going to use them, you might want to use them in conjunction with something else. Ok, sex ed class with the hootchie mama is over! in NJ
