Guest guest
Hi all, Just reporting that after a lot of careful consideration I have determined that my rosacea was due to my frequent blushing. All my life I have blushed at the drop of a hat! This, I believe, is the cause of my rosacea. It wasn't until I already had signs of rosacea that I began to flush from other stimulants. I have never had much sun exposure so that isn't a probably answer either. I believe that because I blushed so intensly and frequently during my life that this is what lead to the broken capillaries and rosacea. I do not have the acne component just the general redness. Actually, photoderm has rid me of the general redenss (perhaps it is because the primary cause of my rosacea is blushing that photoderm has been so successful for me?????). Although the redness is gone, I worried that as I continued to blush it would all just start again and in 4/5 years I would be back where I started. Blushing is my main trigger, it is my only trigger that turns my face red these days!. So I set about eliminating this response. I did hypnotherapy which helped greatly in terms of confidence and self esteem when it came to my perception of blushing. I started taking inderal. Between the two my blushing is down 95% at least. Inderal has been amazing for me and I believe will be a major factor in my future success in keeping rosacea at bay. So if you believe blushing either caused your broken capillaries and rosacea, or that it is a significant contributor I would recommend trying Inderal or someother betablocker.
