Guest guest
, This is wonderful news....115 lbs in 11 months?? Congratulations! Try not comparing yourself with others, for every body is different. I am only 2weeks post-op and I only hope to be in your shoes and be able to profess the same great weight loss. Keep us posted! I am so thankful that " they " are making this information more available to everyone even if they didn't list the surgery. The depressing thing to me is that she went from 315 to 145 in one year. She weighed exactly what I did on the day of surgery and is the same height. I sure am not going to be there in one year, maybe not ever. I said when I started this journey I would be happy if I could get in a size 16, (which happened quite awhile ago,) but if I am honest I am not happy about my size and I am still in a size 16, 18 or even a 20 in some things. I told a friend recently that I get to about this point where everyone is starting to make positive comments and this is normally where the weight starts to come back on. I have thought about unsubbing to the list because I don't post very often and everyone else seems to have so much more t! ! o offer but...here I still am. As I think about this I think a lot of it is for about two months I have thought I was going to go below the 200 mark and I am still not there yet. Of course as my DH pointed out it has only been the last month and one half that I have really even had any regular exercise and that has been in the form of bike riding several miles 5-7 times a week so I probably have no one to blame but myself. On the upside I went back over my weight loss journal and I have successfully lost every month since Dec. although it hasn't always shown up on my scales. I get weighed monthly at the dietician and hers has always shown a loss and for this I am eternally grateful because had I not chosen to have WLS I would probably be many pounds heavier rather than be almost 115 pound lighter at 11 months.
