The cut can be 10 - 12 inches long and the surgery takes 8 - 10 hours and

it's bound to get an infection. So, it doesn't heal right and you end up with

a weak spot that develops into a hernia. You let it infect, then cure, and

then repair the weak spot with a 30 minute surgery. No problemo
