,

I have a similar problem. I have seb derm and roascea. I went to my doctor,

and although she offered suggestions, she just really didn't know how to

deal with the situation, so I went on-line here and looked at old posts. I

took an old suggestion and use Nizoral on my face. When I started I would

put it on and let it stay on for about five minutes once a day. Other times

I wahed my face during the day, I just used the Nizoral like liquid soap.

Since it is a bit drying, I also rubbed in some liquid Oil Of Olay to wash

with. I had immediate results. My seb derm is no longer a real problem. A

bit of an itch now and then put that's it. Now, I use the Nizoral twice a

day as a soap on my forehead. It is very mild.

Seb. derm amd rosacea

> I swa a new derm today and he said that the flakies I am having are not

from rosacea but seb. derm. He said that I have rosacea but only the

flushing. This was first diagnosed about 12 years ago. Is it possible that

my rosacea will not develop into the acne but remain as facial redness. He

gave me a Rx for a 1:1 compound of Nizoral and a cortisone but I am afraid

to use it. He said for only a week to get the seb under control and then to

wash my hair everyday with one of 4 shampoos: Head and Shoulders, a tar,

Nizoral shampoo and Selsun blue. He said to let the suds run down over my

face but I don't ever wash my face in the shower. I am so afraid to put the

suds from any of these shampoos on my face. I am more depressed than before

I went. I need you help and you support.
