My daughter has been GF for 2 weeks due to stool not being formed.

My concern was for celiac disease. The ped wanted her to be Gf for 6-

8 weeks then introduce gluten back as a challenge. We have been very

compliant (except for 1 mistake by me).

She is having identical problems as my son at her age. They began

with loose stools, then chuncks of undigeted food and today for the

first time.....:-( Emma's bottom was blistered from her BM after

being on her for less than 5 minutes. The blistering was the main

reason we started SCD with my son

She eats mostly what he eats

*meats (chicken, beef)

*fruits (bannanas, kiwi, avacado, apple, orange, peeled grapes,

pinapple, cherries, canned sugar free mixed fruit, pears and peaches),

*veggies (peas and carrots, green beans, califlower, brocoli,

occasional pickle)

*Other Milk (whole),butter, homemade yogurt fermented for 24 hours,

cheese, brown rice, Brown rice puffed cereal and ammarth GF cookies

(sparingly)

Today I made her lactose free as well started soy milk and will still

allow homemade yogurt and cheese.

I always thought that my son't problem were from his ear infections

and antibiotic use, and that he had high yeast. But we never knew

for sure what the problem was. SCD has done great for my son.

I am thinking that she has the same problem as my son. But what is

it???

Our Ped tested him for celiac but he had been GF for 10-11 months so

it came back negative. The only other thing was fat in his stool and

some high counts on blood work.

Do we just have to wait for the gluten challenge to see it Emma is

celiac? Besides taking out milk, is there anything else that I can

to to help her? She is SCD except for the soy milk, rice and GF

cookies. Should I remove these too? I'd like to keep her on soy to

see how she does with that before completely removing. I have not

tried to make her yogurt milk but that could be an option too.

Any ideas on what their problem is or of any testing that we can do

besides CD?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks for all your help in advance!!!

mother to CAden 2 3/4 years SCD since 2/05 and Emmalynn 13

months GF 2 weeks, lactose free today.
