Hi everyone,

Today is day 15 and Jim is doing well. All lines are cut off now

except for the morphine--they are tapering that down slowly. He's

feeling pretty good except he feels the pain more at the incision

site because it's not masqued so much with the morphine at this lower

dose. I'm not sure how long this incisional pain will take to go

away??? He had been eating a little of everything...chicken, turkey,

roastbeef, potatoes, fruit with no pain! They stopped his insulin

drip...he's had 10 units am and 8 units pm the last 2 days. He was

told that most patients go home on a little insulin for the first few

weeks. So, only time will tell about him being diabetic or not.

Again, I'll keep you all posted on his recovery.

Wishing you all a painfree day!
