What a Godsend this group has been for me in the very short time

since I found you all. I have been aware of having this condition for

some years, have been prescribed Rosex by my GP and thought that it

was not working since it never cured the condition. I have never been

given any information about sea by my GP and pretty much had

resigned myself to look like this for ever. However, since reading

here I have begun using Rosex again with different expectations this

time, and hope that things will at least improve.

One of the things I have read about here that amazed and relieved me

was the affect of niacin on rosasea sufferers. I began taking a

vitamin complex in November as I had become very run down after

helping to nurse my Mum who died in October. I had a massive reaction

and thought my skin was going to burn fair off my face. IT settled

just as quickly as it flared but left me feeling quite frightened as

it set my heart racing and my whole body uptight. I spoke to a local

health shop manager about it and she admitted that lots of people

have reactions to niacin and we searched for something that contained

little or none. She, however, was not aware of my condition, although

it is pretty darned obvious, and did not know of the link between the

condition, niacin and the reaction.

What a surprise it was to read of these reactions as being quite

usual for the condition, and therefore not a scary thing at all

really.

I am in New Zealand and it appears we are quite limited for treatment

options as a lot of the treatments, and even over the counter

products you all mention, I have never heard of. I am about to get

hold of some jojoba oil and see if that can help, and after a visit

to a healer, was recommended Shark Liver oil internally as a boost to

the lymph system and a general immune system aid. Have any members

had any experience with this oil and if so, any reactions to it. Is

there any research to suggest that a sluggish lymph system can

affect/cause rosasea?

Thank you all for the information I have gleaned from reading here
