you might remember me from my " could this be pancreatitis "

thread, well, i talked about what you told me with my naturopath

and she agreed that i should have my amylase checked (they

don't do lipase at the lab i have to go to). the results came back

yesterday and i am concerned. what can it mean if your amylase

levels are below normal? mine weren't that low, 35 (norm is

40-110, they said), but still below normal. that was the last thing

i expected.

so, of course i hop online to find out and the first thing that came

up is pancreatic cancer. aaahhh! i'm sure that i'm fine as far as

that goes, i mean i've had this on and off for 4 years-i'd be dead

or really, really sick by now if i had cancer, right? what else could

it be? i won't be able to talk to my doctor until friday night and i

need to get this cancer thing out of my head. anything would be

better than thinking i might have cancer. any info. you could give

me would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

carrie
