1st day on SCD: Yoghurt and juice questions

Today is our official 1st legal day of SCD on the intro diet - I've

had everyone go SCD while at home as this is the only way for me to

stay on target and not cheat!

So far my NT 2yo daughter loves everything I've fixed, NT4yo loved

about 1/2 of everything, but my 3yo SID DevDel son, whom the diet is

supposed to help, has rejected all but the yoghurt, juices and

chicken broth! He didn't even want the jello squares.

But I am encouraged to continue b/c of his sensory issues he always

rejects things that are new and eventually will tolerate them

better. Two days ago he wouldn't touch the grape juice or apple

cider - so I'm pressing on! Any suggestions with helping him eat

new foods (previously he'd only eat oatmeal) would be appreciated.

Also, how can I keep my yoghurt (used whole cow milk & dannon's

plain for starter) from becoming so runny after mixing in honey? It

seems to change to a milk consistency as soon as I stir it. Does

anyone have a formula for a good " sugary " ratio of yoghurt to

honey? If it's not supersweet - my kids just reject it outright,

but I don't want to overdo it with honey.

I figured out a ratio for our juices - for 100% Welch's grape juice

I mix 1 cup juice to 1/2 cup water and for apple cider I use 1 cup

cider to 2/3 cup water. Does anyone have any better suggestions on

making these juices toddler friendly?

Thanks in advance!
