Guest guest
Hey Everyone! A few weeks ago I wrote about the enzyme dosage and how it was driving me crazy! Well, after a visit to our CF center and some experimentation we found the problem!! Scandishakes. We give Emma (2 1/2 y.o.) a Scandishake (600 cal. 30 g. of fat) every night before bed. Great stuff, she put on 2 lbs in 3 mos. BUT, we were only giving her 4 Cotazym ECS 8's with it. She would need double the amount of enzymes with a whole Scandishake which would also put her way over her daily max. SO, we reduced the shake to 1/2 a serving and added Zantac to help with her enzymes. I must say her BM's are shockingly " normal " looking. So again I thank everyone for their help! Missi mom of Emma 2 1/2 w/cf and Mathieu 1 1/2 wo/cf
