Guest guest
hey is there any one out there dealing with chronic pancreatitis in kids. my 12 year old daughter was diagnosed in 2000. today we are not any closer to an answer for her than in 2000 when she had her 1st attack. last week latest bout, amylase over 2300, lypase over 3400. she has had numerous altra sounds, x-rays, ct scans, ercp, upper endoscopy, cf testing both sweat test and dna screening. last week we tested for lupus. everyting comes back either negitive or normal. any of you out there coinsidered idiopathic? my heartbreaks everytime she goes through this. she's a hard hit for iv's, so she's terrified every time she's admitted. last week we saw her on a pca pump for morphine. this was the worst one yet. also, what do i feed her. went to nutritionalist. what a waste of time and money, she had to look up pancreatitis, didn't know what is was. then read diet to us from book. every thing she told us is different than what the doctor said. and what the doctor says is different from what i find on line. HELP!! HELP!! thanks all
