Guest guest
Hi Antoinette, > How long does it take to KILL > THE BAD GUYS! > Admit we where giving calcium supplement with ILLEGAL IN IT....didn't > get it in 24 hours! Did this cause this HUGE die off reaction? It is very likely that the die off reaction came from stopping the illegal supplement. Guest guest
OH MY, you are not alone! We have delt with regressions a couple of times since we started SCD about 9 1/2 wks ago. We are still in our last bought but it is better. We have been dealing with rages now for about 3 yrs so I know what it is like to try to not be sucked in. Our son before SCD and some other interventions we have done would rage for up to 1 1/2 hrs. This could happen as many as 3 times in a day. It was pretty horible. When we have a die off time I remind myself of those days and even at the worst now it is about what the best was back then. Generally it seems for us when we go through a die off it has been 1- 2 weeks of not normal behavior. I have gotten to where I can relax a little as when I realize we are in the midst I quickly adjust our day to not quite so stressful stuff.(Normally we do about 3-4 hrs of Neurodevelopment program. This will go on part or total hold.) The one thing that I do know is that God is good ALL the time and seems to always see us through, so far without killing anyone? Be blesses Sandy M Whole family SCD 9 1/2 months in support of 5 yr old who rages. > > Our poor 4 year old son had a horrible time this night. Guest guest
We gave it thinking that it was SCD safe...I called the company and they clearly did not understand what a disaccharide or polysaccharide was because they said that it was safe...I am glad to know that it is not....so you think this isn't enough to cause a problem? Antoinette (SCD entire family day 23) Re: Son had a horrilbe die off reaction tonight > > THE BAD GUYS! > Admit we where giving calcium supplement with ILLEGAL IN IT....didn't > get it in 24 hours! Did this cause this HUGE die off reaction? I am surprised you would give that and it could be a problem. Try thr Kirkmans or another legal type. Carol F. Guest guest
Hi Antoinette, From my experience and from what others have written over the years, this certainly *is* enough to cause die off when stopped, especially since you are at the beginning of the diet. If still having die off you can try epsom salt baths and/or activated charcoal.
