Guest guest Posted September 5, 2002 Report Share Posted September 5, 2002 Hello my fellow pancreatitis sufferers, I am not feeling well today. I woke up with that deep throbbing, sharp epigastric pain which goes through my back and up into my left shoulder blade. I am also very nauseous and have the dry heaves. I told my husband that I think that I'm having another pancreatitis flare. The last few days I've been feeling very lightheaded especially when I bend down to pick up something. My heart seems to be beating very fast and I'm getting more winded when I walk. I may be dehydrated too. I usually am dehydrated when I get the pancreatitis attacks. I spoke to the nurse at my family doctor and told her about my symptoms via phone today. She's going to try to get me in to see my GI doctor as soon as possible. I'm scheduled to see my GI doctor on October 1, 2002. I don't know if I should wait that long especially with the symptoms I'm having now. I'm trying to decide if I should go the ER to be evaluated sooner and to get fluids.
