Guest guest Posted March 15, 2006 Report Share Posted March 15, 2006 People with damaged intestines are more prone to Diabetes...and the ketones released into the blood in a person with diabetes can make a person " feel drunk " or act drunk........I agree go get it check out...does his breath smell " fruitey " this is also a sign of ketones and diabetes.... Antoinette (day 23 SCD...dad is diabetic.....) RE: Excessive drinking of water Diabetes was what first popped into my mind. They should be able to do a very quick toe/finger prick test, and if this is abnormal, would do a fasting blood draw. Not to scare you, but I would do this right away. I don't know if this is a " typical " reaction of starting SCD, we are in our second week ourselves. Even if several people on this list wrote back and said this was typical, you should still go check it out. Better safe than sorry and very simple to do.
