Hello, I am seventeen and also just starting the diet accually it will

be 7 days tommorrow since I started it. The yogurt does not make me

ill, it's not my favorite stuff to eat that is for sure but I haven't

had a reaction to it. Of course we all react differntly so like you

said just take it slow and see what happens.

I am taking my lunch to school, and I can tell you that some days

are alot easier than others. The best tip I can give is make sure

there plenty of food avaliable. Some days I am really hungry by the

time lunch rolls around and other days I am perfectly fine with just a

little bit of food. The problem becomes if you are really hungry you

can't just go buy something else to eat like all the other kids. That

would be my biggest tip. My school has a microwave availible so that

makes things lots easier too. If you have anynore questions or your

daughter needs someone to ask just pass them my way I would be glad to

help!

Has she had trouble with dairy before getting sick? How are her

symptoms now?

If you want to try the yogurt starting with a tiny amount is a good

idea. The problem that some people have is that they start with too

much of the yogurt and it overwhelms their system. 1/8 tsp or 1/4

tsp may seem like a tiny amount, but even those amounts have lots of

good bacteria and for some it can cause die off (hence the

recommendation of small amounts). If she does okay with those

amounts you can gradually increase it. The maximum Elaine suggested

was about 2 C/day for children and 3 C/ day for adults.

I am nervous now after reading some posts. Maybe the

I make souffle bread sandwich for my kids since their school is nut

free. I send juice boxes filled with legal juices or yogurt

smoothies. Ripe bananas, cheese, homemade applesauce, apples.
