Guest guest
, I am so happy for your weight loss. That is wonderful. 87 pounds in 6 months. You are doing so well. I would like to see an updated picture of you. How is your fight with your insurance company going....do you have a court date yet? I want to thank you for thinking about me and my littermates, only 18 days and I hope to be on the other side. I will celebrate your birthday on the 19 by making a new life for myself and then it will be my new birthday too. You will have to tell me your secret for your magnificent weight loss. I hope to have such a great success as you have and I can't wait till Christmas and I walk through my parents front door and weigh at lease 70 pound lighter. (OH HOW I WISH) Please keep us posted on your weight loss. Love to you, Joyce PS As I have said before and I will say it again. THANK YOU for telling me about the MGB, without you I would have never known about it. In a message dated 7/1/00 10:08:52 AM Central Daylight Time, Deckbound@... writes: << Hi!! I will be 6 mo post op on July 10th. I now weigh 155 lbs and I weighed 242 at surgery on Jan 10, 2000. I no longer have to wear that ol C Pap machine mask on my face at night like I have for almost 10 years, so that in itself is like a miracle. I no longer have to wear a pad for my urinary incontence/ no leakage now at all!!! Another huge miracle. I have no reflux/ no pain from pressure on joints/ no edema/ I look 10 years younger/ I can breathe and move and do things instead of sit in a chair most of the time. I'd say I've made a lot of progress!!!?? I have had a problem with depression but am now taking Effexor and it is helping a lot. It was hard to accept that I had depression when so many many good things have happened to me, but I finally came around to calling a spade a spade. Depression is something not to be fooled around with, I have learned for sure. from Missouri age 56 on July 19th/ when dear Joyce will have her surgery!!! Love to you Joyce and your other litter mates!!!! >>

Guest guest
Dear Joyce and all, I do intend to post a picture as soon as I get one that I really like!! Also I don't know how to do it and will have to get my husband to put it in the computer for me. I still do not have a court date yet and am still waiting. But as soon as something happens along that line you can be sure that I will be posting the events as it starts happening. I am thinking about you and your surgery every day Joyce and your litter mates too. I know you are going to lose weight too, but it is very important not to compare your loss with mine or anyone elseses because we all lose at a different rate. Mine has been exceptionally fast and most don't lose at that rapid rate. The only secret I can say is to stay with the liquids for the 1st 6 weeks and do exactly as Dr R says. Then as you begin to eat regular food, go easy. I eat a baked potato every day with real butter and fat free sour cream, lots of salt. Also eat a banana every day, sometimes two!! I drink juice that has NO SUGAR only the sweetness of real fruit juice. Also have the no sugar all fruit pop cycles every day. I cook all the time using the 98% fat free cream soups, low fat cheese, lots of veggies, chicken, turkey, ground sirloin, ground turkey, smoothies in the blender/ fat free cream cheese and triscuits for snack. I also eat lots of fresh mushrooms sauted in olive oil and fresh garlic and onions. There you have it!!! That is what I eat. Oh, yes, one slice of my homemade bread fixed as toast each day. Sounds like a lot of food?? I eat at least 6 small meals a day. Keeps me busy!!! I do love the 98% fat free chicken noodle soup (s). I hardly suffer from depravation!!! lol lol Love to all, in Missouri
