Guest guest
I am hurt! Someone gave my daughter-in-law a copy of Grain-Free Gourmet they got at a book launch to give to me as they are allergic to nuts. I already have a copy and asked her to keep the cookbook. The family has a nanny that cooks three times a week and I suggested she try one of the recipes so I could eat with them instead of always bringing my own food or watching the others eat. " I wouldn't have her make something for only one person, " she said. I said it be made for the whole family and she said they wouldn't like my special food. At first I was hurt and angry then I thought, " Why not just invite them to dinner and make some recipes and not tell them it was SCD. " I was a little embarrassed to post this story to the group but have often responded to members who have similar incidents. ly, I was taken aback when it happened to me Carol F. Guest guest
Hi Carol, I'm sorry that your daughter-in-law said those things. Hopefully she said them because she wasn't thinking but in time will come to see that you had a really good idea. Sometimes a new idea doesn't sound like a good idea to me at first but then as I start to think about it, it starts to grow on me and then I am more open to it. Maybe your DIL is the same way.
