We live in California, about an hour north of Sacramento..

My son hasn't ctually been diagnosed w/anything, but he has had several(10,

maybe)ear infections since he was 7 months old. We started going to the

hiropracter in April '05 and they haven't been back since(hooray),although this

weekend he was sick and is extremely stuffed up. Anyway, b/c of all the

antibiotics he was on, plus other factors, and his slow

growth(he's 27 lbs. soaking wet and 37 " at 3 yrs. 10 months). I apologize, I'm

going to have to finish this later. I need to get us both ready to go to the

chiropractor..

We haven't started the diet yet since I am still waiting for the book so I can

figure out what to do. We often spend time at my IL's house and sometimes my ds

stays there w/o us. Should we send his own food w/him? I'll give them a list of

what he can/can't eat(which they're kind of used to since he isn't supposed to

have dairy), but is there anything I can/should do? TIA,

Out here in San Diego, there are hundreds of things to see and do, including

just go to the beach. Henry's is my favorite whole foods kind of store(regular

and organic), but there are Whole Foods Markets here, and a new one called

Sprouts(took over a Henry's in El Cajon) The Sprouts has DCCC. Fresh fruits

and veggies very reasonable. The average temperature here is 72 year round

ranging from low 80's in summer to high 50's in winter. Only problem is

expensive housing and expensive gasoline. My kids go to school year round in

shorts. Happy travels

According to Alpaslan, " He is not opposed to the diet. He agrees that it has

helped me. He encourages me to continue with the diet. I suppose that makes him

SCD-friendly. However, he does not provide any specific dietary advice. He says

each person's dietary needs are different. He claims you have to find out for

yourself which foods agree with you which foods don't. Of course with Elaine's

help I was able to answer that question. Is he SCD friendly? You would have to

judge that for yourself. I like him because he is intelligent. I have been

seeing him for the past 4 years. And I am on the SCD for 2+ years. The SCD

helped me immediately. Within 24 hrs the nausea was gone. Within 2 weeks the D

stopped and I started putting on weight. These were monumental changes as far as
