Guest guest
Hi Lyn, If it did we all lived through it! I just went through a horrible die off....yet I did not take any extra supplements for chelation...just ate the intro for SCD....I have two infants that are still nursing....it didn't seem to harm them...they are actually both doing better eating the SCDiet and I have no intentions of weaning either any day soon, yet I did start then on lactase enzyme (with blessing from their pediatrican) to break down the lactose in my milk better...to help them with their die off. KiKi our 22 month old is actually talking for the first time...laughing for the first time...and acting like she is going to be 2 years old instead of much younger.....and our adopted 17 month old who has hyperekplexia like cerebral problems...is having less problems too! So.....it may have bothered them...yet I will never know........I can further say that I am glad that I didn't know...because this diet was our only choice and as for breast feeding...her doctor, lactation consultants and La Leche League have all convinced me to naturally wean them both if I can...due to human milk being the best milk for baby humans...and it being considered " liquid gold " to those infants/toddlers with damaged guts and other problems! I am glad that I didn't fret about this...because I would have been worrying the whole time that I was killing them! They are still ALIVE and again I can not say clearly enough.....and doing better than three weeks ago before SCD! Antoinette (SCD entire family of five on 3+ weeks, List of family problems: Celiac Disease, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, ASD, ADD, ADHD, multiple sensitivities and allergies and neurological problems related to damaged guts!) Odd breastfeeding question... Hi - This has been on my mind for a very long time and I need to get it off my chest (ha ha?). If SCD chelates, is that ok for a nursing mom? Do potentially harmful toxins come through breastmilk??? Thanks, Lynn - Mommy to Cameron 3.8 (ASD - SCD) and Mia Jean 18 months and nursing mostly SCD (Mommy, too...)
