Louie,

I hope the Glucophage change is helping too. Sometimes it

takes medicines several days to fully get into the system

(kind of a cumulative effect).

The ulcer in the eye is fully healed, but it's still a

little inflamed, so I have a new oitment for the eye at

night and I have been able to discontinue the drops and the

other ointment. This one is helping and the inflamation is

receding slowly. I'll be able to wear the contacts once all

the redness is gone. I talked with someone else who has had

this and she said it was best to wait at least 6 weeks after

it's healed to where the contacts, so I'll probably do that.

Don't want to take the chance of this happening again. I

did have have some vision loss as there is a small scar, but

I'm seeing a optomestrist on Friday to see how much and if

we can correct it with glasses. I'm hoping that is the case.
