Guest guest
If anyone can offer any help, I would greatly appreciate it. My redness is limited only to my nose. I have never had a history of blushing and I have always had clear skin. (I am 19 by the way) About a year ago I started using benzoyl peroxide 10% occasionally to prevent pimples from forming, especialy on my nose. Then it became almost an obsession to keep pimples off of my nose so I would use it 2-4 times a day for about a year. Around December of this year I started nosing some slight pinkness to my nose that would come and go. I thought it was acne, so I continued to use the BP. In February, I stopped using it, but the situation didn't clear up much. I saw a derm, and she said only that it was dilated blood vessels and didn't really offer a cause. She put my on differin and metrocream This didn't help much and just made my skin oily. So as of now, my nose sometimes looks normal, and sometimes appears pinkish- red and color. It is very frustrating because I always had such a good complexion before. One thing that always makes it red is the cold weather. And it doesn't even have to be very cold. 60 degrees with a slight wind will make it turn red, whereas last year I could be outside in 20 degree weather and it would be fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
