Hi, does anyone one have any thoughts on acidosis and D-Lactate acid

producing strains of probiotics. Looks like elaine was looking into it

but only had it partially confirmed that Strepococcus thermophilus and

Lactobacillus bulgaricus produce the L form. I have read however that

they produce large quantities of the D form.

My main concern though is acidophilus, which produces mostly D-Lactic

acid.

Does any one happen to know for sure what produces what and whether it

is definatly safe. Has any one consumed 2 or maybe more yogurts are or

probiotics and had a urine sample taken for measurment of D-Lactate

indicating an overgrowth of acidophils or other D producing strains?

Thanks

Phil
