I am holding you all in my special thoughts as this is such a hard time for

parents with these new experiences. You are doing all the right things ,

calling the doc & soon, you will feel what is the best. Your a good mommy &

this is showing in your acquiring all the info possible. some of these lists

will share their first times with you , you are not now , or ever alone.

write always :):)

Re: Leila is worse :(

Hope the appt. goes well! Please keep us updated. Those first

experiences with a sick CF baby are the worst, because you have no

idea what's the " baseline " of your kid and how she will recover.

Here's crossing my fingers for you.

Peace

Torsten

> I'm so glad I made the call on Saturday. I just hope it was in

time. Leila woke up in the middle of the night much worse. She was

wheezing and her cough sounded just terrible. I called our doc this

morning and he started her on nebulizer treatments. These seem to

help somewhat but half the time she still sounds like a washing

machine. I've never heard such a big cough from such a small baby.

Still no fever, and between being cranky I can get her to smile, but

I'm very concerned that she will do worse. We have an appt. in

clinic tomorrow at 9am. It's amazing how quickly children can do

poorly. I hope I get some sleep tonight!

I hope that they are able to help her feel better real soon. :( We had a

similar experience with 's first cold ever, and they put him on

Pulmicort and an oral steroid for a couple of days to open up his

airways. It helped immensely and before we knew it he was fine. :) So

hang in there! I know how scary it can be. Their little airways are so

tiny, they are very prone to wheezing with infections.
