Guest guest
Colleagues & friends: I'd like to personally invite each of you to consider participating in the Morehouse Executive Faculty Development program, designed especially for physicians and other primary care practitioners who may be considering a move to teaching or academic positions, or those who are young in their academic careers, or who have never had formal training in how to teach or to write for the medical literature. We are especially attentive to nurturing and developing minority faculty. The program is free of charge, but would require you to pay your own travel expenses for four trips to our National Center for Primary Care here in Atlanta (four days each in September, November, February, and May). During our hands-on workshops, you will learn the following skills: " Teach effectively in clinical settings and in small groups " Cultivate writing skills for the medical literature " Create publishable case reports " Develop powerful communication skills for public speaking " Write Grants " Adapt teaching to various Learning Styles " Do research using national survey data sets Sign up today by going to our website www.msm.edu/fdp/fdpprogram.htm or by contacting our faculty development program staff (Ms. Josylen Huston, 404-756-1295) for an application kit. I hope to see some of you in September!
