Guest guest
Hey guys, I've been trying to make the Peanut Butter cake recipe, and they don't seem to be turning out. here is how I made it. I've been doubling the recipe as follows: Peanut Butter Cake 2 cups SCD peanut butter 1 cup pure honey 1 teaspoon of baking soda 3 jumbo size eggs We usually get the jumbo eggs because I like those better for making scrambled eggs and such. Then I use Lucy's recipe for Peanut Butter Frosting on top of that. however, the batter isn't turning out very well when I make it like that. Its turning out too hard. what am I doing wrong? Am I using too much egg? not enough baking soda? I don't know any ideas? Also, I have a gas oven, for some reason if I bake them at 300 for 20 minutes, they burn almost instantly, so I've been turning the temp down to 200 for 20 mins, then 250 for another 20 mins, which seems to work when I can get the batter the right consistency. I don't know whats wrong, any ideas on this one? Tom
