Guest guest
Hi everyone Really good to know that you're here. I don't know whether i'm suffering from rosacea or seb.derm - doctors are unsure. Whatever it is, my face is prone to flare ups, is very sensitive, red and flaky. I can only wash with warm water, and most moisturisers seem to irritate my skin. I stick with Aqueous cream, but this doesn't always help. I was interested by some of the comments about ageing. I'm 31, male, and the lines around my eyes seem to be rapidly advancing - beyond my years. Does rosacea -seb derm accelerate the ageing process? This isn't the main issue. I can live with lines. I just wish the redness would go away. Any tips on moisturisers greatly welcome. Love and solidarity. .

For a moisturizer, try small amounts of jojoba oil, just a few drops each time, spread gently with moist fingers. Avoid sun exposure and try to find a very gentle sunscreen to apply very lightly each day. You don't want any more sun damage. Reads like part of the condition might well be seb derm. Nizoral cream (Rx) resolved my SD. If you resolve the flaking you might try a thin coat of ZincO over the moisturizing oil. You can order it from Dr. Sy's web site, which should be in the Bookmarks section at the cea-Support yahoo site.
