First post to the group

Hello everyone! I have e-mailed a few of you in private, but this is

my first post to the group. I am writing from Texas. My son has

come in four times already to see if I am off the computer so he can

use it. I have been going through several days of the mailing list.

We are a prolific group!

Where am I in this momentous process to change my life? I am so glad

you asked! I sent in my patient information on June 16 and Dr R's

staff was very quick about getting that predetermination letter out

(yea!). I had my appointment with my PCP just last week. Big sigh

of relief that is over! She was not overly enthusiastic, but did

agree to support me. I left with her the paper that Dr. R. presented

to the ABS this past month. This appointment was strictly to discuss

my desire for the procedure. I have an appointment on July 28 for my

physical/'Well Woman' exam. That seems a lifetime away! My doctor

was not optimistic about my insurance covering it (United HealthCare

POS) since I don't have any direct co-morbidities (yet!). I am

trying to gear myself up for a battle.

Okay! I have run off at the mouth (or the fingers) for long enough.

I really love this list and all the postings. They fill me with hope

and a feeling of solidarity. Thank you all!
