Guest guest
Hello all! I just wanted to introduce myself as I am a newbie here. I'm Betty(27) from BC, Canada. I'm not totally sure that I have rosacea but ever since I had my son (April 2000) I have had what I thought was acne. It was weird because I never had an acne problem before - even as a teenager! I finally went in to my doc in January of this year and she gave me some sol to try. It lightened thr redness and bumps a lot so I am assuming that I do have it. It seems to come and go (but never is totally gone) and I have yet to figure out what triggers it. I also have gallstones ever since my pregnancy and have had to drastically change my diet. I basically don't eat fat (especially hydrogenated or saturated fats) and I have cut out all meat except skinless chicken breast and fish/seafood. I was thinking that something in my diet change may have triggered something?? Anyways, I am looking forward to meeting you all and am totally open to learning everything that you are willing to teach me! Guest guest
Betty: I think it is unlikely that your rosacea is related to either your change in diet or your pregnancy (although you will soon find out that there is little if anything you can be sure about with this affliction). More likely, I think, that it was pure coincidence. cea first hit me in my late twenties too, and before that I had great skin. If you have found something that helps you, as it appears you have, then I would not question it and count yourself as very fortunate. Good luck keeping up with your 2 year old son (it's important to keep reminding yourself as you chase him through the supermarket that he really IS a gift from God).
