nuts-buying and making butter

Where is a safe place to buy hazelnuts and pecans in bulk? I am looking to

make homemade nut butters. Can I do this with a food processor? Also, which

of the above is usually easier to digest?

I like Costco's nuts in three pound bags and always fresh. They have hazelnuts,

walnuts,

pecans, almonds and pistachios (the latter are in smller bags)
