No, unfortunately a cure is probably a LOONNNGGG way off. This is because

almost nobody has shown any interest in trying to conduct any research

relating to cea.. a large portion of the medical community is working

under the misconception that cea is a trivial disorder that is easily

treatable, so there is no interest there in doing further research. And

major pharmaceutical companies don't want to spend any money for R&D because

they don't think it affects enough people to be profitable. As long as this

continues, there will be little, if any, advances in the study of cea.

(The notable exception to this is the 3-4 research studies sponsored by the

NRS each year)

It seems to me our best hopes are the anti-flushing pill the cea-LTD

company is hoping to come out with 5 years down the road, and Nitric Oxide

inhibitors (which Dr. Lerner was nice enough to tell me today, he still

thinks Nitric Oxide plays a part in cea, and that NOIs will probably be

effective in treating cea.. its just a question of how effective)
